At center of the screen, we see what Jacob will see when he sees through the bees later, when a mirrored crystal is embedded in his skull, via passage down his ear, up his nose, through his eye. This is the point of view of the bees looking at themselves through Jacob. This hexagonal shape is also the title page of Jacob's grandfather's old diary.
