The beeline becomes a funnel for the viewing eye. The small square at the end shows a few bees, who serve as a sort of sensor probe, communicating what they feel down along the long ribbon, where bees stand one next to the other in a relay line. so, quickly, the temperature message or the taste message get backs on this passing chain, communicating to the greater mass of ready-to-fly bees back at the old hive in the old cave on Old Earth.
