A helicopter... after Nipkow invented the image dissector, principal technology used in the Mechanical Television system, he obsessively passed on to the design of helicopters, during the 1890's. Here one of his inventions (television? Helicopter? Dissector?) passes overhead on the way to that Army base out in the desert. Perhaps it came out of Jacob's cowl with the intention of joining the bees, though it seems as disinterested as they are.
