Some voice hits your ear, Doppler-shifting past you, but you hear two words out of a longer rant.... ...I'm fallllllliiiiinnngggg....... You don't quite catch whether the voice is falling down or up, or heading in a bullet direction out towards the horizon (dismayed by the residual gravity which is slowing pulling it down towards the ground, along a long arc which will finally result with an impact in the mud... not the infinite flight through accelerating air that it was promised during the initial explosion and expulsion that started this too-quick journey).
